Mike Litman's Entrepreneur Held Hostage

This past Tuesday I had the opportunity to listen to a teleseminar by Mike Litman. He spoke about using the language of an entrepreneur. He has a monthly teleseminar about entrepreneurship.

The costs of these monthly seminars are approximately $40.00 and well worth it. His program is called Entrepreneur Held Hostage. These are monthly coaching calls that can help you reach the next stage of your entrepreneurial life. He also has a monthly CD.

Everyone wants to be an entrepreneur but only a few know how to do it profitably. Mike Litman is one of the highest paid coaches in the business.

One of the greatest aspects about his organization is the lack of hype. Growing a business and being an entrepreneur is not about “feeling good” it’s about getting started and getting the job done. As Mike Litman says, “You don’t have to get it right, you just got to get it going”.

Meet Kim Jamieson

I had the opportunity to meet a "mover and a shaker" in the area of women's health issues.

I would like to intorodue her to you. Her name is Kimberly Jamieson.

Check out her site at www.healthypainfreeliving.com

This is not another "lose weight fast" diatribe and website.

Kim provides real-life scenarios to help you acheive your lifestyle and nutrition goals. She knows what it's like to be where you are today.

Sometime ago Kim was runned down and out of shape but today she has turned her world around and has a ton of energy.

If you are a woman you need to check out her site.

Here's what Kim has to say...

Empowering women to take control of their health, be happy, stay healthy, come to peace and learn to love themselves again is something that is fiercely overlooked in the American society today. It is vital to live healthy, prolong your life, and it is so important to make your dreams come true. Women tend to be martyrs (taking care of everyone else first) and never seem to have time to take care of themselves. Women need to remember to live!

Let's all have a great day.

The Cost of Procrastination

Procrastination is the act delaying (putting off) the activities that one needs to do to complete a job or task.

Most people feel it is just a small quirk that they have. And most feel,"Well, if I don't get it done, I'll just do it tomorrow."

Here's a great question. How much money does procrastination cost you?

If most people realize that procrastination cost money they would stop procrastinating.

Everyone understands that if they procrastinate on a certain task required of them to perform as per their boss they could lose their job, therefore lose money.

If you procrastinate with respect to the maintenance of your vehicle (monthly oil changes, tire pressure, transmission checks, etc.) you might end up having costly mechanical problems.

If you procrastinate and pay your bills late, your credit score will become compromised and hence will decrease your ability to get loans.

Last and most important, if you procrastinate about your health you will lose money by paying co-pays, co-insurance, higher monthly insurance premiums, experience increased pain; and lost time from work due to sick days.

If you are sick and out of shape it compromises your ability to become wealthy.

So the next time you think procrastination is just "one of your little quirks" just think how much money you could possibly lose if you do procrastinate.

Happy Hour

Ah! The weekend is finally here.

Do you remember the times when Friday would come around and you would head out to Happy Hour at the local club/bar?

You would drink and be merry. You didn't even think twice about eating fried food such as taquitos, fried and breaded mushrooms, fried mozzarella sticks or the infamous chicken wings. And then you would wash it all down with an alcoholic beverage.

Well, you can still enjoy your Happy Hour without the fried food and multiple alcoholic drinks.

With respect to food, stick to the vegetable sticks and only use a little dressing. Switch your drink to club soda and cranberry juice. If you do have an alcoholic drink, only have one. If you want to order something off the bar menu stay away from deep fried foods and heavy cheeses (nachos and chips). Pretzels are better than nuts and chips.

Happy Hour is about the company, the atmosphere and the celebration of the end of the week!

Enjoy yourself and revel in the good times.

And don't drink and drive.

Don't forget to make a toast to your Health & Happiness.

Keep Moving Forward

I hope everybody had an incredible weekend, ate good food and had time to spend with your family and friends.

This weekend I saw the movie “Meet the Robinson’s”. It was a great movie with a superb message of “celebrate your failures”, “let the past go” and “keep moving forward”.

Failure of a project, event or an experiment does not mean the end of that particular goal. Most often we have to fail to get to the end-result of our task or to accomplish our goal.

The past is the past and what’s done is done. You can’t change the past but hopefully you will learn from the past.

And regardless of your goal or task keep moving forward. Get started, don’t stop and be open to changes along the way.

Also this weekend, I read a great book titled, “I Don’t Want To Be Your Guru But I Have Something To Say” by Joyce Shafer.

This book is a great journey of mind and soul and with well-written thought provoking prose. I have read many motivational books over the years and "I Don't Want To Be Your Guru, But I Have Something To Say" moves to the front of the pack. This book will remind you that your life has many possibilities and the journey is most important. Don't just read this book absorb it. You will be glad you did.

Please take a moment to read what others have said about their personal, inner experience when they read it, by looking at the reviews at www.lulu.com/content/773467. If you like what you see, please share this with others.

Losing Weight vs. Wellness

Springtime is among us and magazine covers will feature young and fit males and females. There will be 6-pack abs, long and tan sinewy arms and legs and of course the latest exercise tips to firm your buttocks.

So what's the problem you might ask?

I'll tell you. Many of my patients complain they need to lose weight. Our younger patients want to look like the female models and movie stars.

Let's face reality.

You might ask how can they do it and you can't.

It's simple. They are getting paid to do it. They are getting paid to look good (and don't forget the genetic factor as well).

If I was paying you a large sum of money to exercise and eat right while somebody prepares your food for you, picks up your dry-cleaning, cleans your house, pick up the kids, pay your bills and do everything that you normally would do in your day then you could devote your whole time to "looking good and exercising", you can also look great.

Time for a reality check. It's not going to happen.

So you should begin to think about wellness versus aesthetics. Start to change your nutrition lifestyle now. It's only week one of April. Just think if you lose only 1 pound a week for the next three months you will be 12 pounds lighter by the beginning of July.

The idea is to start now versus later.

Week one should be the elimination of bread products and begin a walking program.

Just start.

Look for the next blog and I 'll share the changes to a life of wellness for week two of April.
