Savings in your home

I would like to briefly discuss how you can
put more money in your pocket by changing some things in your
house.

The house necessities are heat, hot water and electric. We can’t
get around these utilities unless you want to move to the forest.

One of the easiest financial moves is to call the utility companies and
set a budget. This should save you money per month. It will also
allow you to properly budget for utilities. There will be no "end of month" surprises.

For those of us who live back east, winter will be upon us
before we know it. Some cost saving tips are insulating your
windows and doors to preserve heat in the house. If you are cold,
wear a sweater.

Plus wearing a sweater allows you to hide your
winter weight gain (hopefully you won’t gain any weight this
winter because I am going to show how to avoid that in a future
newsletter which you can sign up for at (www.frompaintopersonalgain.com).
So now you are saving on your heat bill by reducing the heat usage and budgeting.

Another way of reducing the energy out put is to place your
thermostat on a timer. Use some extra blankets at night when the
heat is lowered and set the timer for early morning so the heat
will turn back on.

I want you to take action now for these costs saving household
tips. If you haven’t performed an analysis of what you spend to
operate the house do it now. Just get an idea of what you are
spending then you will know how to save and where to save. In
turn this will put money into your pocket.

These little changes will lead to bigger savings and wealth (putting money back into your bank account) accumulation over time

Assessing your aggravation level

Hey everybody. An interesting event happened the other day to me. My car broke down. Not that my car breaking down is the most interesting thing in my life but it was a phone call to one of my patients while waiting to be picked up. I always believe in returning patient and client phone calls within the same day and if I can within a hour. She asked what I was doing and I told her the situation. She replied, "O God, I am so sorry. That is soooo aggravating!"

I thought to myself and then shared with her that there are many more aggravating things that could be happening right now. Something like this would have set her back mentally. She would have conjured up a tremendous amount of stress. She would have shared this event with ALL her friends with the story actually getting worse with each telling. This my friends, is how you develop an ulcer or irritable bowel syndrome.

So my words of wisdom is when you think something is "god-awful" or "really aggravating" you should assess the issue and compare it to (or think of) 5 other really aggravating things in life

The other aggravating things I thought about was being stuck and not near a bathroom; being stuck and not having any water; being stuck and not having any one come for me; being stuck and have it freezing out side; and being stuck and not having my protein bar with me.

It was inconvenient. So aggravating? Not my perception.

Remember, perception is 100% true!

On a funny note. Two days ago I made my last car payment. The day after, it breaks down.

Aggravating? No. Funny, yes!

Your Wealth & Your Budget

How can you know what to spend, invest or save if you don't know your overhead? Therefore the next step in attaining wealth is one of the most important steps

Step 2-Analysis of your budget
What is your household overhead? The term “overhead” is used in business quite a bit. Overhead is the day-to-day cost and monthly/yearly cost of operating your household. You would be amazed at how many people do not know what it cost to “operate” their house. They think they know until they actually put pencil to paper and write out every cost. They are usually very surprised how much money is actually wasted and where it all goes. And it goes pretty damn fast.

7 Daily Steps to Accumulating Wealth

We are told time and time again as Americans we spend more money. Everyone complains that only if they had more money, their problems would go away. We all know that is not true. It might solve some problems but not all our problems. How many times have we heard those who won the lottery are poor within a couple of years? We think to ourselves, “that would never happen to us”.

How could the winners lose all that money? Simple! It is a lack of discipline and education (not the education of scholastic aptitude) but a lack of financial education and as I said before discipline. Remember it’s not how much you spend but how much you save that is important. Let’s take a look at some simple steps to put money back into your pocket.

Step 1-Your Car
The price of gasoline is rising. Sure it has come down in the past few months but if you compare the price of gas this year to last year we are still paying more. No, I am not asking you to give up your car or ride a bicycle to work (although it would be better for your health, just not practical). If you are driving a big vehicle and you really do not need it (i.e. for work), sell it and get a smaller vehicle. Obviously, if the car is paid off keep it. But you still might be able to spend less money with a smaller vehicle especially with respect to repairs and gasoline.
